Call Andrew from Schdmit. I remember he mentioned to me that the finder for D-lux 4 should not or could not be used on M but can't remember the reason.

I prefer this Leica (but made in Japan) chrome variable 21-24-28 viewfinder...at least it is made of metal (but not brass)...very bright but some edge distortion and no frame line through the viewfinder...it works for me.

Thanks everyone for the feedback and answer.but what is the difference btw e 21 24 28 vf than the other 24mm vf other than its made of brass?

Is 3 in 1, don't have to buy so many VF. Don't think is brass, aluminum alloy more likely. 28 is good for those using 0.85 VF camera.

Thats great.so it can be use for the 24mm on the m9 as well as some other lens if i buy next time?

I had the 21/24/28, distortion and build was not to my liking. Definitely convenient but the 28mm view was not needed. Size wise, I prefer the smaller VFs as it did not really make sense to bring lenses so close in FL at the same time.

Hehe...me definitely not VF fetish...don't use any external VF for M9...only for film M...:bsmilie:

The "Frankenstein" VF is definitely a "no go" to me...:sticktong

For all we know, there might be some Leica lens caps collectors around. (Those caps are quite light, BTW) :bsmilie:
