Not true. As far as I know, Leica cameras and lens are subject to the same warranty conditions worldwide though I am not sure about those Panasonic rebadged ones.

There was a recent promotion where buying from Leica store gives you one more year warranty. This is now over, so there's no difference now.

The warranty was for lux series of camera. In any case, Leica warranty is the same worldwide.
Hope now we can get on and discuss abt the Leica Q instead of warranty.

thanks alfie for the clarification... to pay 200-300 more for an additional year of warranty for a piece of 5-6k equip I would say is worth it.... pity promo is over.. haiz...
