Hi just asking around what kind of strap you guys using to match your Leica M

Original or 3rd party, don't mind just share your 10cents worth of recommendation :bsmilie::bsmilie:

Cheers

I use either a Luigi/Leicatime leather strap or a Street Strap which is a cheaper version of the A&A strap (just as nice, IMO - at half the price).

using A&A-ACAM306. it's fixed length and comfortable. :)

I use the A&A adjustable cloth strap... very comfortable. I got a gordy strap but while looks nice, it's not really as comfortable as the A&A.

Using a Barton 1972 Braided strap for my Leica RF. Looks great and is very comfortable to use. :)

A&A silk strap.

Use none. No entangle, no hassle.

really that nice and comfortable ah?

It has a very wide segment for the neck so it helps to spread the weight when a heavier lens is mounted. For some reason the other straps either don't even bother with a wide section or is too narrow.

Ordered the Gordy's camera strap for my M, just waiting for it to arrive.

Leica original strap sucks and ugly. I got my Ciesta strap and half case from chiif. quite nice!

Agree... The original strap is ugly...may be comfortable but ugly. Third party strap anytime.

These r the straps I have used b4: acam silkcord acam301 ( comfy ez to wrap ard but pricey n ez to dirty ) , 1972 barton single braided( good build , also comfy but lose to silkcord in comfort, price wise is decent) , a&a cloth strap (good price n build but too hot at times and sometimes abit short for my liking, refering to the shorter version) . Right now I have the angelo pelle normal strap and the cubandco shooter strap (very nice in outlook and comfort wise is ok... but build is not that good as mine frayed abit after it arrived? Maker agreed to send me a replacement for free). In general I still think a&a is worth the money but if cheaper alternative I would say annie barton. As both are comfortable and very well built

Have the A&A silk cord strap b4 though nice is not very comfortable when carrying RF. Cut into my shoulder with abrasion after a log sweaty day. Sold it after a while as nice but not practical.

Using Barton strap from local Barton distributor now. Nice and surprisingly comfortable with slight bounce to offset the weight of the RF. Apparently the local distributor will be carrying cub&co soon as well. Got mine from his first batch of straps and super thick leather very well built with classy design. Leather used and design both better than Gordy IMHO. Don't have the fraying like you described I think the strap is built to last very happy with mine.

Also have Luigi strap that came with my case. Normal strap common design with quite thin leather. Nothing to shout about. How your Angelo Pelle strap? Nice?

I havent used much of my angello pelle. But the non deluxe strap is just normal leather. Seems durable but slight lower quality leather. I think annie barton still better. My strap came with the half case I ordered from angello pelle which was great haha

My vote goes to Barton strap also.

after using various different strap, I am sticking to my A&A / voightlander cloth strap.

Same here. The most functional and comfortable strap I've found for everyday shooting. However I also like these:

1. Artisan and artist Easy Slider strap (http://www.artisan-n-artist.com/products_details.php?id=189). Used this for my trip to Japan where I carried my camera around all the time. Very convenient, comfortable and much more secure than using Black Rapid (I hated that, camera kept bouncing and also knocked my RF alignment out).

2. Optech neoprene strap when I still had my Hasselblad. Straps and interchangable with rather secure snaplocks, so with this system I could share the same neckstrap with the Hassie (less junk in my camera bag). But now don't use anymore, back to A&A.

3. Gordy camera strap. I'm a fan of leather products (I make my own too, and yes I can fully understand why handmade camera straps are so expensive) and this strap is very comfortable and beautiful when worn in. But not as comfy as A&A cloth strap. This one sits on my M6 (old school camera must use old school strap mah... hehe)
