I heard many snobs commenting that Leica MP is much better than Leica M6 (one of the longest living M camera). They say:-

"MP viewfinder is flare-free as compared to M6"
"MP film-advance lever is smoother than M6"
and etc....(the list goes on and on...)

MP user, just take a look at this pics and you will understand what I meant....

But did the "snobs" mention anything about MP having a superior shutter curtain?

I think it is still covered under warrenty since MP is still very new unless he bought a grey-market one.
I think it is user careless-ness that causes the shutter to break down, what da ya think?

It looks like it got caught up on something internally.

Is this a shutter-breakdown?
Can somebody please explain the picture to me :D

The pic shown shutter came out of position. From detective point of view, it is cause by a freak that does not know how to load a film on a Leica M camera. ;p

Hehe!!!
Do you think a digital SLR's lifespan will last longer than a Leica M body? :dunno:
Some M3 (over 50 years) are still in service in the hands of Magnum photographers!

when digital camera fails,go where ?

hahaha.. kena overtake by XXXboy!

Ask yourself lo, do you think Nihon (I dun want to use the real trade name as I might get sued!) will produce a CCD for your Nihon D1 broken down in 10-15 years time? Even not spoilt, will you think it will last that long or wanna use a out-dated technology 15 years later???
Mechnical body is not dependant on technology and as long as there is still film, we can still shoot very good pictures!

i still a film user la..
M4-p(black) with a 50lux is nx on my wish list hehehee...
nothing beats the satisfaction of using film and printing it urself@!

And the anxiety u feel while waiting for the prints to be developed....How well the pics will turn out.....

when u get the result u wanted in ur mind after "playing mahjong" under the enlarger, feels like striking 4D..though the image might not be world class, but to me is the result of many manipulation.
can spend a long time appreciating every grain of the final print..
