In the end, i chose the m7 because of aperture priority. And what a joy it has been to use. Pics just come out beautiful. I just set it to A mode and adjust the depth of field accordingly so i don't exceed the max shutterspeed of 1/1000s. It's probably the easiest introduction to rangefinder photography.
I went into rural Japan with it and came away really impressed.

But i'll be selling my m7 soon because i've fallen in love with medium format film, so the 35mm camera will have to go, while the contax and Bessa III remain.
