anyway, this thread is reserved for documenting FLiNcHY's journey of discovery with his m7 and summilux...

Some spices adds excitement to life... it's good to OT sometimes... :bsmilie:

Anyway... I think he's now in Japan shopping for film... :) :D :bsmilie:

Japan is Leica paradise! I'd definitely be shopping for lenses and Artisan half-covers for my Leica M7 if I were to go there again!

No need to go all the way to japan for A&A case! We have an official dealer in sgp!

oh yeah, and am i supposed to master the art of prefocusing or something? because it takes me forever to focus! getting the superimposed image in line with the foreground.

how am i supposed to shoot quickly if i take forever to focus. no shutter lag, but got hand lag

lol

I think if you stop down a bit while shooting you have enough depth of field. For me, when I approach a subject i want to shoot, i estimate the focus distance and adjust it my looking at the focusing scale and get the shutter and aperture to fit the approximate lighting condition. When you bring up the camera to your eye level, check if the focus is about there, do a bit of compensation if necessary, and press the shutter when the composition is right. Hope that helps.
