Leica M9's AWB

Just tested a few shots on a new M9. I can't believe the odd colors that the AWB produced?!!
Way off I must say.

Is it a known issue? Any good solutions? (I did try the manual WB method, much better but lechay lor)

Shooting on daylight, auto WB no issue.

However, when shooting indoor, perform manual WB and there will be no issue. Afraid there is no easy way out.

Leica M9 AWB is erratic. It is known problem.

Use whitebal card with manual will solve issue. Alternatively, change WB during post-processing.

Thanks for all the useful links/tips.

While I could begin to understand howcome M9's AWB is so crappy, I just don't understand why Leica cannot do a better job:dunno: (my iPhone pinhole cam is way better in that dept)

Good thing no one claims that it is a feature (yet) :bsmilie:
