Probably old news by now but Leica has manufactured a special-designed fully Titanium M7 complete with 5 Titanium M-Lenses for one royal client - His Excellence Sheikh Saud Ben Mohammed Ben Ali Al-Thani!

Quoted from the article:
"The M7 Titanium and its lenses are unique and the price for which it left the workshop remains a well-kept secret in Solms. Somewhere in the range of a lottery jackpot perhaps - and that, too, may be doubted."

Saw it in a recently received back-copy of the LFI (Leica Fotografie International - 6/2003 September Issue).

S-w-e-e-t..................

wow ... got the owner's own signature engraved some more. :o

Outrite ugly!! Ever since Hermes took over, Leica is making "ch'au-ti" ;( If they have to rely on this to survive, their days are numbered :(

Nescafe
used to be Leica fan

Did you guys note the serial number and production number on it...
Serial No. 8888888, Production: 1/1.

Nescafe - I don't think they rely on these special models (i.e. Hermes MP) to survive... They are simply following their tradition of producing certain special batches to commemorate specific occasions - and make a little on the side as well which doing so! Totally acceptable practice if there is a market for it (read - collectors with sufficient extra spending money with nothing else to buy!). ;)

wah lau......

*no word speak*
real beauty...

Not "customized", but "hand-made" by TA. Really cool

Sick.

That camera has nothing to do with photography.

Ok, sour grapes; i take that back. Is that particular sheikh a photographer? Can't wait for him to post some pictures taken with that camera.

Apparently not! Quoted directly from the article (Leica M7 Titanium Technology - LFI 6/2003 September)...

" The unique M7 Titanium will not end up in a display case covered in dust: "I use the camera daily and I believe that the more use I make of it, the more attraction and understanding develops between the camera and the photographer." "

I wonder if LFI will do a follow-up article showing images taken with this beauty?!?

This is the utimate toys for the rich boys!
:blah: :blah:
