What should I lookout for in a M6TTL (0.85) body ?
Am considering getting this for some back to basics shooting

the 0.85x is optimised for 50mm lenses and above... it would be hard to see around the edges of the 35mm framelines (esp with glasses) and for anything wider than 35mm you will have to use an external viewfinder. So be very sure u want a 0.85x viewfinder before u plonk down money for it....

Bring a light meter, check to make sure the speeds are correct. Work the film lever, they sometimes get a bit stiff.

Many thanks for the advice.

Was offered this chrome+black body (and also as an alternative a R6.2 from a retired erman colleague) - he claims its in excellent condition and since I'm going there next month on a business trip, am quite serious about getting it. Have to consider the 50mm *limit* though.

The 35mm lines are still fairly usable, especially if you don't wear glasses. But ya, the .85 finder is optimised for 50mm and longer lenses. Maybe you could consider a .85 body and a .58 to complement :)
