Leica M latest special editions M9-P included

more interested in the M3-P.. not that I can afford to buy one, but to know how it's setup..

is it 'merely' an M3 with a meter? ie. retains the exact M3 framelines? anyone knows?

Never heard of an M3-P.

OTOH, an MP-3 is nothing more than a retro-looking M6 with 3 sets of frameline (35-50-90), just like the good old M2. It is a "modern" MP, not the original MP that is highly sought after collectible.

So in short, an MP-3 is more or less a metered-version of M2, but probably not quite up to the same level of build-quality. Functionally, it cannot do anything more than a classic M6 could.

With a Summilux-M50/1.4 ASPH in E43 style, is it worth $22,800?? Go figure…

Have you actually touch or use the MP3? I think it's one of the smoothest metered M body I've tried and would love to own one someday. There's something "hand-made" about those limited editions. Somehow, they feel smoother and better built than the regular production M even if the differences purely cosmetic. Is it worth 22K? Well, it's up to the buyer whether they think it's worth it.

Btw, if u bother to click on the link then you will know what's a M3-P.

Oh no...Leica has created another awesomely beautiful camera...and it is CHROME...my soft spot...a CHROME Noctilux...I have been avoiding the NaughtyLux...looks like this time round they done it right :thumbsup:

By the way...MP3 is a mimic of old original MP (M professional) with built in meter...built to the highest standard of a Leica film camera...better than the current MP (Mechanical Perfection)...I have used many Leica film cameras M2, M3, M4, M5, M6TTL, MP, MP3...

I  MP3...

What? They only made 20 sets!!!...:complain:...:flush:

woah, if only I had the $$$$$$

I would sweep the M3P, mechanical king with CHROME!!!! Noctilux! Vincent/Thomas, good investment!!!

M9P only for people who like to wear casio with sapphire glass :bsmilie:

I prefer wearing mechanical rolex with sapphire glass ;p

the chrome noctilux is the main attraction to me lor. Big chrome noct nicer than black wan
