leica lens on voigtlander body, or vice versa?

i've been dabbling with rangefinder photography and find it really... different compared to the slr experience. was thinking of going more serious into it. being on a budget, i was thinking between:

a leica cron on a voigtlander r3a or r3m,

or

a vc 40 1.4 with an m2 or an m4.

what would make for a better shooter combo?

Dun think it really matters but given the choices I would go for choice 1. Leica optics should give good all round picture quality, and Voigtlander body with build in meter more practical for general use.

the lens always matter the image quality the most... :)

I agree, get the leica lens. I use them, even on the Pen EPL-1 and even then, the quality shows

It is the just the matter of... order. Buy leica body first, you will buy leica lens later. Buy bessa first, you will buy leica body later.

i agree it is a matter of time. the poison is very strong wan.

It has and always will be about Light, so Lens comes first ..

Just my 2 cents

Save more and go for a Leica Cron on M2. You'll be happier.

Cheers,
