Leica DIGILUX 3 & D-LUX 3

I got mine from Cathay Photo. My experience is that it pays to get an e-quote before you head down.

Well, Star-flog, maybe you can check with snoopytan where he got his camera. Before you really sell your Contax T2, please remember that T2 is a different type of camera compare to D-Lux 3. One is a film camera, the other is digital. If you really want to "drop off" film photography totally, then I won't persude you to "keep" your T2. But if you think you still have that "little" enthusiasm in film photograhy, then I would advice you to keep it if you are not "financially tight" in order to get a D-Lux 3.

I am still keeping my Nikon F90S even though I got a D50 (got it because of the Nikon lens I have) . Still thinking of picking up film photography one day. Afraid that I will "regret" after I sold it off. Actually I should have sold it years back when it still catches some value. Well, now since the price has dropped so much, no point selling it. Just keep it.

emptycan69, I've no plan to sell my Contax T2. It's a lovely and classic film based camera and will keep it for life. I believe this Leica can be a legendary too but technology advances nowaday is so far. No one can tell...

Seems like these guys over here have D-Lux 3 rather than LX2 .

(I assume the diff in photo quality is very minimal)

Are u mean the original Leica Leather case which we can see from Leica website? Plan to get it for my LX 2. can LX 2 fit in?? (LX 2 got a small rubber grip in front where Leica version is flat in front)

Yes, the original Leica case. Not sure if it fits the LX2 though.

Call Cathay today, no stock for the leather case....

Whilst picking up spare batteries for my camera, I saw some Leica boxes at Parisilk Holland V. You may wish to check if they carry the leather case.

Checked with CP, the quoted price is $980 w/o GST but only available in Silver. Too bad.
Besides CP, any other camera shop sells Leica camera?
