Where can I get this camera?

What is the price, and that of the original brown leather case?

Thanks! :)

Hi, I am honestly not too sure, but what I recommend is that you call up a few camera shops like
1) The Camera Workshop
2) John 3:16
3) MS Colors
4) Cathay Photo
See if they have it.
Hope I've helped.

D lux 4 is coming.

Your best bets are Cathay Photo and Orient Photo. I remember seeing the camera on sale at these two shops. You may want to wait until D-Lux 3's price drop due to the release of D-Lux 4 or be prepared to pay the premium. IIRC, it should be selling close to 1k. Do call them up for actual pricing.

Thanks all. Will keep a lookout for the D Lux 4. Thanks for the tip!

I have checked with Cathay, Alan Photo and a handful of shops in Funan. Cathay and Alan Photo do not keep the model anymore. I was offered a set for 1.3k (including leather case) at another shop in Funan which I thought was way too steep and didnt like the sales tactic ...

The D Lux 3, as I understand it, was retailing at $980 for camera and abt $199 for the leather case. I was also asked to consider the Panasonic LX 3, which apparently has the same features and look of the D Lux 3.

But no kick... might as well get the Leica and be done with it. :)

Please, for some, the red-dot means a lot and to others, it is nothing. Let's not start the topic of why choose a Leica clone / why choose a more expensive LX-3 with no change in spec but a red-dot. There is already one such thread in DPReview.

Ok sori, I'm also a leica user. Just wondering why leica going to built a same camera like Panasonic LX3. Even thou Panasonic using a same technology to leica. But will it much better if leica produce a one step higher than LX3 in terms of optical use or sensor use for D-lux 4.

I think the factor of the matter is the camera is roll off from the same factory by the same pair of hands but got packaged differently.

Some people are willing to spend 30% more just for the red dot. It's not hard to understand why... just look at why some woman scream over the LV bags.... :bsmilie:

I somehow knew that last sentence was coming....

Cheers to everyone!
