Sorry to hijack your thread Ivor, just some information to share about 'da Protector. It is all in inches, and I had a hell of a time trying to measure against my LCD to check suitability, so for the benefit of all ... here are the measurements in cm.

Measures 1-7/8” x 1-9/16" with 1/8” borders at the left and right.
CONVERSION > 4.7625cm x 3.9688 with 0.3175cm borders
Viewable area is 1-5/8" x 1-9/16".
CONVERSION > 4.1275cm x 3.9688cm

'da Mini Protector™
------------------------
Measures 1-3/4" x 1-3/8" with 1/8” borders on all sides.
CONVERSION > 4.4450cm x 3.4925cm with 0.3175cm borders
Viewable area is 1-1/2" x 1-1/8".
CONVERSION > 3.81cm x 2.8575cm

:dunno: tot the ruler got inches n cm n mm? just use it to measure lor no need convert ma.. wad u mean by viewable area? the whole thing is clear plastic less the 2 sides of adhesive.. tink the viewable area greatly depends on each different cam.. keke

Friend, have you tried to measure with your ruler in inches .... how to heck to measure 1-9/16"? My ruler from primary school only measures in tenth ... so I convert all to CM for convenience.

Anyway, there is a border around some the protectors, so actual size and viewing size is different. Check the website, you will then understand better.

ya the border on some is taken up by adhesive.. some 2 side some 4 side.. my metal ruler has inch, cm.. tink urs is the plastic one rite which has tenth.. so u managed to get the correct protector for ur cam? or u can ask the bros here who haf the same cam as u which protector they are using..

Yup ... Ivor recommended da mini for my 5050 ... and true to his word, it is really a better fit the da oly.

Will be ordering mine soon. Just checking with a few mates if they want to hop on the bandwagon. If I can afford the time, I may consider arranging a MO for this .... but no promises yet mate.
