I am planning to visit the guangxi province next year for a trekking expedition, where exactly is this place? in Guilin itself, what city? Are there any remaining century old villages around still intacted? Please share any info!!!

most of these photos were taken at YangShuo (a small town of GuiLin)...
#1 to #4 were taken while taking a 4 hour boat ride from GuiLin to YangShuo...
#5 onwards (except the wedding photos) were all taken at YangShuo...

old villages ? yup, there is at least one... where we visited (#9 to #11)...
we were lucky as we found a good local guy, who brought us there... he work as a waiter at the restaurant/bar on pix #16 & #18...

here are some personal tips :
- avoid wasting time on visiting the caves (many caves there !!!)... these are mother nature, but were lighted with colourful bulbs... i find them artificial !!!
- spend less time in GuiLin city... it's just a city !!!
- allocate more time for YangShuo... though there are not much there, but i love the environment of West Street...

btw, my trip was short (less than 3 full day)... so i may missed out many interesting places... hope these info is helpful...

naahhh... ain't not doing it... slides are too expensive, and getting harder to get !!!
