hihi, new to this subforum :)

have a question for u guys... where to get SR44 / S76 batteries for the LCA?

i've seen the LR44 ones around, but according to some sites (e.g. http://www.lomo-camera.com/batteries.php) it's better to use the silver SR44s

thx in advance!

it's alright to use LR44. At least i've been using it with no problems.

do you face any bloated battery problem?

ok thanks. got some LR44s to try.

if you really want. daiso sells SR44.
but they run flat pretty fast.

ya. i kana bloated batt on other cam before. esp with added flash with AA batt.

Wah, maybe it's time to open up and check if my batts are bloated too  What happens after it's bloated? Explode?

seriously i don't know if it's normal or not. someone online told me it's normal as he had not 1, but 3 bloated batteries in his LCA. whereas for me, i only had 1 bloated and already having problem with the power. either there's no power, red LED won't go off or it's weak.

see below for the bloated battery pic.

i believe that the bloated battery will 'force' and cause the metal contact thingy to get out of place so when i replace with new set of batteries, i actually realize the new set of batteries won't fit - too loose.. it will just come off with a gentle shake.

you can fix it yourself by prying out the middle piece of metal carefully to get the batteries tighten and back in contact. it's weird - if you had to keep prying that thin piece of metal every few months, it's surely gonna break someday and GG (good game).

anyway, my first set of GP batteries that came with the package, 1 got bloated out of 3 and the same thing also happened to my second set of LR44, 1 of 3 got bloated too.

anyone?

bloated means gone case already. the chemical reaction inside is screwed.
better to change asap.

you might have a dead batt situation while ya shooting mid roll.
lca will not fire without batt and it still sounds the same. (fake click when you press shutter release)
