I was invited. But did not go.
No plans to buy these new Leica products. Pricey.
To date still no digital SLR that takes R lens. Leica kooning.

Took leave and went to buy new handphone instead.
More useful item.

Scary because the design has the floating element to eliminate focus shift across all the focusing range. :dunno:

I meant a digital SLR made by Leica for their own R lens.
But then again, it may be too expensive if finally made.
Perhaps Europe does not have the same manufacturing low cost base and efficiencies as Asia.

Most companies are not as confident of their deep and strong user base as Canon and Nikon. So as a result, when those other companies come out with a digital SLR, they tend to purposely make it incompatible with their previous film based lenses. They need to SELL the consumer a new set of lenses all over again. They need to make money. Sometimes they do not get away with it, the whole ploy falls flat. Sales die out and the camera business folds up.
