TME said:Is there such a lens yet? I only heard Tamron make the announcement.... never visit Minolta's website.... please enlighten me... thanks!
BTW, I'll largely prefer Minolta if the price difference is $200 and less.... otherwise Tamron is ok too.... especially if it is an SP lens!
Its made for SLR & DSLR but optically better for DSLR.TME said:Cool! BTW, is the 11-18mm from Tamron a full frame or digital lens? I get to have a 17-28mm lens on the 7D.... maybe I should wait until I can get my hands on this lens before taking the plunge...

from KM said:Note 1: Optics have been optimized for a small diameter image circle in order to work with the APS-C size CCD, therefore the lenses cannot be used with 35mm AF SLR film cameras.
from Tamron said:Di II: Lenses are designed for exclusive use on digital cameras with smaller-size imagers and inherit all of the benefits of our Di products. These lenses are not designed for 35mm film cameras and digital cameras with image sensors larger than 24mm x 16mm.
