Got my 5n twin lense kit at Harvey Norman PP @ 1299
2x 16gb , sony case , lense filter, lcd protector, tripod and cleaning kit...
was suppose to recieve a dry box too but was not available ,was given 2x 16gb sd card instead of the the 2 x 8gb initially offered...
Hmm saw that a fellow member here buying it a week here before me and managed to get a free original sony extra batt..no such luck on my side...overall its still quite a handful of freebies, cheap stuff but better than nth i suppose

You should post in BnS , higher response rate.
Sometimes, for some products, the companies try to go around the laws.
The make every other thing in china or Thailand but finish up the last part in Japan, then they label it MADE iN JAPAN
I heard of one example, a fashion label, have all the different parts of a shirt sew in china then ship it to their own country to do the final stitching and brand labeling. this way they can bypass the "made in china" rule

MS Color's pricing was more attractive than SLR and Cathay 2 weeks back but then MS Color (both main store and branch) decided to quote a new price (an inrease of $79 from previous price). So I guess Cathay's price is the most attractive the last I check [Note: I am referring to the kit version]. But still a few bucks cheaper than SLR.
Btw: One harvey norman quoted me $1819 for the kits
(cash payment and only if you forego not to buy the additional battery at $20 bucks). However, dont think all Harvey will match that.

Yeah. When I told them "few days ago you only quote me $xxxx", then they asked who quoted me that price and proceeded to deny that price". However, after a while, seing you still standing there, they say "okay, we can give you that price, but no we no stock now. You can try at the end of the month". Grrrr. At the end of the month, probably another price and even if they got stock, they may not want to sell me at the lower price, rather to unsuspecting customers for the higher price.
Anyway, not flaming/etc as I understand the business nature (as I may do the same - why sell cheaper now when there is demand?). Anyway, this is OT.
Just came back from Funan "shopping" trip.
Sony Nex 7 stocks are all here and quite healthy in supply.
Cathay Photo's stock came in this week. Body + Kit everywhere also got stocks!
Promotion package comes with Herrington Bag, Sony Highest speed 16Gb SD Card with 95ms (faster than normal Class 10 card), and buy additional original battery at $19 (limited to 1 pcs per pax).
Cathay is selling at $1,699 (can pay by credit card) without lens, and $1,899 with kit lens.
SLR Revo selling at $1,674 (Pay by card must pay slightly more for the charges) without lens.
The different in price is $200 for the black kit lens.... yet you see so many hopeful sellers selling at more than $200 for used set?
