oh well.

anyways what happened to the production of the S5? stopped?
can no longer get outside right? Jacob does yours drop too ? :D

stocks are really low. basically non in sg. anyway my pants doesn't drop unless i need it to.:bsmilie::bsmilie: else everything the same.

alright then i should hurry.

cause my cousin want me to shoot his wedding this year in August. Now that my anxiety attack tones down, I need to get down to business and grab a DSLR and make sure i meet the expectation then. I'm hoping this would be a great cam for wedding.

I dont understand the slow thingy that many reviews state. Will this hinder me in taking random/ candid moments which will require fast response. If its faster than my Canon Powershot S5 IS, then I can handle it I guess. Or was the slow only in relative to other DSLR? :o

I dont pay much attention to this anyway since most of my interest are nature photography and conceptual peices which dont demand fast shutter. But being a family photographer, speed is essential, no?

I have to pester my dad to allow me to buy a dslr this weekend. Both Canon EOS 450D and the S5 PRO are attractive. both within the same budget too i guess unless I'm missing out something

since family photoshoot then go for S5 pro which has better skin tones than most cam. unfortunately S5pro is out of stock if you're getting this weekend.

Called most of the popular shops..
1) MSC - no stock, may come in on the 15th
2) AP - no stock
3) CP - no stock
4) Fuji SG directly - yet to call me back for updates

is that impossible? my cousin got his S6500Fd direct from FujiSG since all the vendors ran outta stock and a vendor helped call them. He got way cheaper than normal. hmm

^ are the noise intentional?

i dont know man whether i should go straight to buy the S5 PRO.
Despite all its convincing reviews out there, I don't quite feel ready yet.

I mean if it is that great, how come its not that recognized compared to the likes of C or N? I don't know, is there any limitations to this camera? Can someone enlighten me more on the flexibility of the cam? what niche of photography is it good for? Wedding photography, landscape, action?

im so yearning to step into the world of DSLR, and if im convinced I'll be jumping from a Canon Powershot S5 IS to another S5PRo hehe

cos a lot of folks out there have the same sentiments as you. some take action and go for it, others keep thinking they are not ready yet. ;p

i'll let you in on a secret. almost any dslr will be faster than your powershot.

indeed....but in all likelihood you will be spending a lot more time processing the 450D pics with photoshop to get it close to what the S5 Pro can give you.

Why don't you join us on 17 January during our F.U.N. outing - Seeing Reds, and see the results yourself. ;)

Bring along your Canon S5 IS too.
