Yes, i have ladder gangs friends, friends use ladder only at fashion shoot... i few there's nothing wrong or right using ladder on the fashion shoot.:dunno:
just a comments dont take-it so hard...:)
you think no wrong with using ladder at fashion shoot, blocking others behind also no wrong?

An example if you go cinema watch movie then the guy infront stand up watch, block your view,if it your wrong or his wrong?
Normal reaction will be to ask him to sit down.
Like we calling for LG to be more considerate but still have people say they go early queue then they are right.
Is it i buy ticket early then can stand up block people see movie?

Really dont take it hard, relax lor.:)

Time to sell some branded ladders...Gitzo ladders anyone? Made of out of Gitzo legs, full carbon fibre and foldable, with camera mount. Not forget the sharp spike on the legs to poke anyone in the way. :bsmilie:
Got MO or not ;p ? Beside the sharp spike on the the leg, I would be keen to get one :bsmilie: .

it comes with roller wheels. ideal for pushing around.

it can be dismantled.
each person takes a small part and assemble it when u guys arrived 10hrs before the event. takes around 10mins to set up. u may spend the 9hrs 50mins cleaning ur cammie's sensor, brushing and polishing ur lens.

that should take up all ur time leaving u with 5mins before the start of the action. get on top of the special ladder and push the button and rise to an appropriate height, turn around and make sure that u're blocking every body's view, remember to flash ur million dollar Beckham smile and wave in the air ala Alan Shearer after he scored a goal to the many audiences behind.

ignore their stares, they are probably jealous of ur very expensive cameras and lenses.
ignore their sniggers, they do not understand ur 'passion'.
ignore their calls for ur head, hey u're not a prime minister of some state! u're a fotographer! its ur job to get the ideal angle, the ideal shot and cover the whole event! besides, there are 3 of u there and many more ladders, hydraulic powered lifts, Gitzo's Special Tripod cum ladder... in short, u've got ur kind with u.

no worries, any fight, u guys will triumph.

anyway, when all the smilign and waving is done... turn around and the emcee should be announcing the start of the exciting event!

there u go...

get ur best shot and post it here and share with the kind ppl at CS!!

haf a nice day!:bsmilie:

I thought this ladder don't really block view that's why you introduce me, as it's tall enough, and people can see through the empty bottom. You inconsiderate bad guy :nono:

u wanna raise it till how high?
so high that u can touch the ceiling meh..

of cos only moderately high enuff, say around 5-7 steps, for the stage. still, the audiences behind, they aren't important anyway, will be blocked. surely they can't be that short?

got space in this newly designed hydraulic pump lift doesn't mean the audiences can look through la. still got other action packed fotographers hawking nearby with their ladders.

anywa, u should not forget to turn around and smile, and wave. it's basic courtesy!
haha

remember, u're the main man. the rest are jus wannabes.

Scene from today`s show.

I believe the empty space behind the ladders would be enough to accommodate et least 20~30 more viewers. Instead today I can walk in, carrying my turtle shell and spin around without knocking anyone. Along with my friend, we only saw 1, ONE, cameraman that is courteous enough to stand near the pillar at the ends of the picture. 1 quick look around that area and anyone can see lots of locations where you can set up the stupid ladders and shoot with the 70-200s and 80-200s.

Seriously, with a blardy zoom lens like that, what are they trying to shoot when they are so up close to the stage? on a ladder no less. I was tempted to take 1 shot from the front but I suppose most people know who the usual suspects are. No beef with those who are standing in the front, but the ladder-using cameramen should pay more attention at the people who are behind you.

izit me... or ever since this thread started, the ladders seem to get taller.... now the people behind are staring at the cameramen/women's asses rather than their waists or shoulders....

Easy way to solve. Ladders and photographers at the back. People watching in front. Sheesh... I remember seeing that at Marina Square. How inconsiderate.
