Hi
I am wondering which labs are able to do push processing of color film. e.g : Fuji provia 400x?
Saw on the web it can be pushed till 1600 iso. Want to try doing it too.

Advance thanks

Inside Adelphi opp funan centre got this shop on ground floor they push color any number of stops

Provia is E-6. Only Fotohub can process that, and you can ask them to push it 2 stops. You will need to pay extra for it of course.

Just wondering if anyone uses Ruby to do E6 processing? How do they compare to Fotohub with regards to quality of development, and scanning?
I send my negatives to the shop in Adelphi, and I am unhappy with the scanning, and the way my photos turned out.

Ruby don't do E6, In singapore only FOTOHUB still do E6, your next best option would be to contact losheng on the forum, he DIY E6 with a processor much better than fotohub.

I dev + scan with tripleD and find their scanning output to be over sharpened and over saturated since they cater to the lomo crowd

If you are in the mood of experimenting, I suggest you try this approach, tested by me; I dare not claim credit ofcoz, its probably been done by tens of thousands people before.

I shoot provia 100 and pull it to asa 50 or sometimes as low as I can go depending on the lights, and I always pull TriX 400 to two or half stop depending on the filter, and develop them as normal, E6 done at fotohub while B&W done at home.

This approach works for me, especially so for the reason that I do not have to incorporate filters compensation since I am shooting on a “pulled film”, its technically overposing film. I just checked with a senior lately, he validated my approach. I can ask again if you have more questions.

Good luck to you. Hope you have fun with this, and hopefully save you a couple of dollars for every stop.

Hi dtoh
Thank you for the reply...so u saying u pull process, means u shoot ur film at a lower iso? But u still process them normally?? wont the photos turn out over expose?
I usually set my iso higher bcoz sometimes i should thru the evening with the lights dimming fast..

The lighting conditions were low to begin with, I have even pulled to asa 25 for provia 100 for lower lighting conditions, do bear in mind of its tight exposure latitude (if i got the term correct).

I usually overexpose my film, and under expose my digital shots, its just my work flow. Hope that helps.

hi dtoh,
do u mean u shoot provia100 at 25, then pull it 2 stops during developing?

or

develop normal at iso100?

Fotohub has recently stopped pushing colour film ie negatives.
