L Lens Set. Which to buy


7d....only to shoot during holidays....pity the camera...really better to just buys a point and shoot..go get the Canon g1x..end of story..even the veteran photographer i met when iwas birding told me about this kind of things..why bother buying adslr n all the expensive stuff when ur only going to use it during ur birthday or holiday..guess he has seen enough young people waste away their money just to satisfy their cravings

Haha well sometimes it's better to educate people on spending..other then later on they will regret having it n later having to sell it cause it's sitting in their cabinet doing nothing
 

L Lens? Passe man.

Didn't you know Leica makes the best lens around?

Anyway joking. Do heed the advice given by most of the posters here. There's no way we know what you need. Shoot more and the decision will be clear.
 

I will be using it mostly for pictures of landscape and people just casually, not modeling/portrait.
The times I will use the camera the most is when im travelling (but the weight of the lens does not really affect me that much...)

Hope this can reel in some suggestions



get 24mm L & 85mm L full stop
 

get 24 - 70 if you care about pic quality
 

Since someone dug out this 3 week old thread, I am tempted to put in my 2 cents worth:

Getting the optimal set up is an indvidual learning process. It's hard to rely on others to suggest cos u know best what u shoot and what u need. Inevitably u will end up buying the wrong lens and needing to lose money to switch to the right one. But hey that's what how it is :D
