The LB-A7 portrait L mount for A7/R/s provides access to battery door, HDMI, phones hatch
and has 1/4"-20 female thread on the vertical and horizontal arca-type baseplates.
For video shooters, that singular mount on the left side panel could be really useful

I think BnS is selling at S$45. But it's some other Chinese/ Korean make.

Am thinking of getting this so that my last finger can have a good rest. Hoho.

Deliberating if I shld get. Don't want the extra weight and more item in my inventory. Haha.

Autobots...! Transform! and Roll out!

Was using the camera today. The small handgrip really isn't ergonomic. Should I buy the handgrip?

Are you referring to the vertical battery grip? I think the extra juice will make shooting video less stressful. But if swapping battery is no big deal and you just want a a firmer grip, sugru could do the trick

I was thinking of the L bracket leh. Haha.

Sugru is a great concept but my art and craft is lousy. Haha

I would buy the LB-A7 in a heartbeat if the arca shoe was oriented the right way for video shooting.

If you get the original RRS l plate which the lb-a7 is based on, the L portion is moveable. Would that work better for video? Or just use the base plate without the L portion

The problem I face is finding a arca-type video head that is oriented in a manner that will allow me to perform a normal tilt rather than a dutch angle when used with the RSS/LB-A7. I'm trying to avoid additional quick release interfaces to pair tripods with cameras. Visualise sliding the RSS bracket into this arca video head and you will understand the problem.

Great for cantering but not for tilting.

Hi All,

I am thinking of getting a quick release plate and chance upon this LB-A7. However I am very reluctant to purchase this as I can see a small design limitation. I like my equipment efficient and the first thing I wanted to replace is the screw and change it to a butterfly screw which has a 22mm head. The groove for the screw seems very close to the edge. Can anyone verify if a butterfly screw with 22mm head fits this bracket. You need to measure the area. Appreciates if somebody owning one can do this. thanks.

Now all I need to do is stick some cork sheets in between so that I protect my asset. Cheers.

Highly unlikely as the LB-A7 comes with an alan key and a tiny 1/4"-20 bolt that is countersunk into the base.
