Jia Wang said:Ehh... I not so complicated as zoossh...
Basically I do my processing in Photoshop.
1) process photos for contrast/ saturation etc in it's max resolution (72 dpi oso not a problem for me cos' screen display don't need up till 300 dpi I think)
2) resize, USM and save in maximum quality (12)
That's all...
I use Pbase as it doesn't compress or reduce quality of my photos which I uploaded... some other sites will do that and that explains why some photos that we see has pixelation etc...
Hope this helps![]()
Jia Wang said:Thanks Big Kahuna... the cloudy weather helped a lot... I initially was quite disappointed when I reached Japan with this kind of weather... But then realised that it's perfect condition for shooting as the sky acted like a huge diffuser and I didn't have to compete with the harsh sunlight from the dark shadows...![]()
zoossh said:what's pbase and usm?
zoossh said:it depends. some scenaries looks better with shadows.
Jia Wang said:All done on 20D and Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 EX APO HSM or EF17-40mm f4L...

The Oracle said:i think if we are to post in website, we need to use USM to give that extra sharpening cos there will be some sharpness loss during uploading. correct?
Jia Wang said:Actually, USM can oso be applied for prints as well...
Here's a simple article on how USM can enhance digital photos...
