26-09-11: Shot of 2 hikers taking in the breathtaking sceneries at the Plateau lookout point in Jungfraujoch. Amazing landscapes here with every turn we made.

26-09-11: It's of course not surprising to see people with backpacks but luggage cases? They belong to some noisy and rowdy crowd with a huge tour group shouting here and there signalling one another to take pictures. As for these luggage cases, they were left standing here for 10minutes.

26-09-11: Panoramic stitch of 9 shots of the Plateau.

26-09-11: Another panorama stitched from 7 shots of the Plateau. I personally prefer this over the previous stitch as it closes in more on the people and alps.

26-09-11: Construction is underway to built a new themed area in Jungfraujoch. I bet ticket prices will be increased even more after its completion of the new themed area.

26-09-11: Snow diggers and transporters. They somehow remind me of Transformers...

26-09-11: Start of the ardous journey for my wife. Lol... The beginning of the hike to Monschjochhutte.

26-09-11: An unexpected sighting. Haha! We actually spotted this group of 5 lifeguards from some country (forgot where they were from). They were stripping naked, and posing with the background of the Alps. Without thinking further, I dashed 50 meters to before they were about to wear back their warm clothing and requested them to pose one shot for me. Here they are in my precious shot with the beautiful Swiss Alps and their great asses. Lovely...

26-09-11: Never too old to hike. Impressive grandpa.

26-09-11: I don't know what these bores/potholes are called. They are crevices in the snow floor which are filled with snow but somehow collapses to form a column. Extreme precaution during hiking in the snow has to be taken to avoid falling into one of these.

26-09-11: Well, this shot says it all. The old grandpa full of energy taking over the task of carrying the grandchild while the papa looks tired and worn out from the hike. Mother and another kid behind.

26-09-11: Thumbs up for all the elderly I met along this trip. This granny proved once again age did not prevent her from hiking. In contrast, the Korean family of 3 behind, much younger in age are struggling and gasping for breath. Lol...

26-09-11: Panoramic crop of a single shot of the Monchsjochhutte as we approach it. Just can't wait to get into the hut for some warmth, food and drinks.

26-09-11: Before we navigate up the slopes to the hut, I saw this tiny human figure on the slopes. Apparently he is figuring how far it is to the peak. And I can tell you, still some way to go.

kuantoh, where is this hike? #146-149?

I think it was in jungfrau mountain.also known as the top of europe., I have been there also last october. It really has a stunning view from the top and had a great experience.nice photos from the thread starter.

Thanks glbong for the clarification. We head up to Jungfraujoch and took a glacier hike to Monchsjochhutte. A memorable hike for both me and my wife indeed.

I see. Do not have this hike in my plan :) Probably can add to it. But I scared later we are bored because I plan to hike in Bernese Oberland. Thanks to both of you for the answer.

If u r heading up to Jungfraujoch for the whole day, this hike should not be missed. We did quite a number of hikes in Swiss while we were there and I guarantee u that every hike presents a different view of Switzerland.
