Konica Hexar AF

im back. bought the hexar RF @ $700.

any good 50mm to recommend? i saw the pricelist from chiif website there's only the 50mm 1.1. any other alternative.

I'm willing to spend more on lens.

Canon 50mm F1.4 best deal but gotta slowly find on ebay

50mm F1.5 nokton ltm - prices abit crazy for it now but good lens

50mm F1.5 canon sonnar

50mm F1.5 Zeiss Sonnar, I think there is one now in buy & sell?

50mm F2 cron?

plenty of stuff on 50mm around, spoiled for choice really

Get the Voigtlander one from Chiif.

what about the hexanon 50/2? its a match made in heaven for your Hexar RF ;)

It'll come cheaper than the cron 50/2 & probably the ZM 50/2 too!

I read some quite bad reviews about the nokton 50 1.1. Havent tried it for myself though. Heres a review: http://kenrockwell.com/voigtlander/50mm-f1.htm
At the price of a brand new nokton 50 you can get an excellent used early rigid summicron 50 or the DR version and have some money left over. You cant go wrong with Leica.

Yup. Still looking ard.

Just realized there's some specks of dirt in the viewfinder. No way I can clean it myself right?
Who does services like this for RFs?

I dont quite agree with Ken Rockwell on most of his review.......

His articles used to be good but of late, its just been slaming all brands other than Leica :thumbsd:

I mean comparing a 1.5k SGD brand new lens to a Noctilux which hits 6-8k on the re-sale market? Same as comparing apples & oranges in it?

take it with a pinch of salt.........

I got a set here on the Nokton 50mm F1.1, wide open, sharp like all modern lenses.

You cant get a 50mm F1.1 spanking new at 1.5k anywhere else other than voigtlander, so why compare it to Leitz.

I do personally like the 50mm F1.1 Nokton but size wise, not the kind of lens that I would take out everyday..... Still prefer F1.4 lenses which are fast & of smaller build.
