oooo thanks... how do you check which generation the waiwai belongs to?
actually, it's not a generation thingy.
my konica panorama is actually a 35mm disposable with a pano frame mask inside. so, u get 2 black bands on the top and bottom of the pic. i can't seem to find any technical details abt my konica, save some obscure reference that it was limited production and no longer available. the website which shows how it can be modded and reloaded is this.

if u compare these instructions with the wai wai, they are roughly similar. the only thing is dat for the wai wai, u have to be careful abt the flash capacitor cos it can pack quite a shock.
i think the instructions are roughly similar for fuji cameras. according to camera hackers online, kodak cameras are the toughest to mod cos u have to make some cuttings to the film advance spool. it seems kodak made special film canisters for their disposables, unlike fuji and konica which uses standard film canisters.
i was PMing another CSer. the tricky part is the modding of the film advance wheel (u know... the wheel dat goes click-click when u advance the film 1 frame forward?). if u take the cam apart, u'll find that there's a small tab under dat wheel dat prevents u from going beyond the pre-set number of frames (eg. my konica is 12). so, u need a very sharp knife (i used a swiss army penknife) to slowly trim away the small tab. and to finish it off, i used a small file to file away the excess bits of plastic. u will need either a very small flat-head screwdriver or those spectacles' screwdriver to pry open the plastic casing. patience... lots of patience is need.

have fun!
