Yeah, I wld like to know too! Photofinish is giving 15% disc for certain products incl Kodak paper, I know the 4R paper comes up to $7.65 for 30 pcs. I mean is this considered cheap or can I get it cheaper elsewhere w/o discount in the first place?

Oops, forgot to answer Mpenza's Q.

I am using Kodak 4R paper (30 sheets pack) and the results are acceptable to me. It all depends on yr printer and the paper weight/finishing...and how discerning u r.

I am using Epson Photo printer 895 (originial ink catridges) with both Epson and Kodak paper. To be real honest, the difference in qlty of print using Epson and Kodak paper is hardly visible 9to me!) although Epson will recommend u to use their paper!

But there is one difference though, which I must pt out, the weight of paper. Somehow, the Epson paper (glossy photo 4 R paper) is slightly heavier at 194g/m c/w the Kodak (glossy 4R) at 173g/m per pc.

Read somewhere that heavier paper seem to better absorb the ink and somehow produce better finishing if both are the same glossy type. I even tried printing with canvas paper (A4 size) being much heavier, and I was very pleased with the result but again, that is not the same as I am using canvas.

Another difference for me is when u print "border free". Somehow, when u use the original Epson paper measuring 100X150mm u get truly Border free printing when set to the 100X150 mode either with PC or direct print. When u use Kodak paper measuring 4"X6" even when u set in the PC to 4x6 format, somehow it is never fully border free. I guess that is one way Epson tries to protect their propeitary paper...

If any readers out there have similar experience or otherwise, pse share with me. Thanks.
