Hi all,
Met up with bro TW this morning on a lens deal and breakfast.
We were discussing about the possibility of organizing a overseas shooting trip.
Destination - Bangkok
Duration - 4 days
Period - End Feb / Early March
Budget - Between $400-500
Min - 4 people to go

Just want to have a feel and suggestion from the ground, so that I can kick-start this project.
Being working in the travel trade, I will try to get the best offer. Likely to fly on budget airlines or Thai Airways if the fare is ok.

Likely to be over the weekend, say depart on Friday and back on Monday.
Once this is a go-ahead, I will draft out a proposed itinerary for suggestion.

Unlikely to go end of March, as I will be involved with the Natas Travel Fair which will be held from 23-25Mar. :cry:

Thats why planning late Feb/early March, to avoid CNY and school holiday.

I have not been to Bangkok for more than a decade. When I went, it was on business and so most of my leisure time was spent in places like the topless bars, "no hands restaurants", massage "parlours" and other night scenes. :bsmilie: Since there must have been a lot of changes since, I really won't be the right person to made recommendations.

after doing some calculation, the package price for a 4 days 3 nights package to bkk on tiger airways is around $350 per person, based on twin sharing (2 to a room), staying at Bangkok Palace, a 3.5 stars hotel, in Pratunam area.

$350 inclusive of airport taxes from sin and the fuel surcharge, exclude the 500B from bkk airport, which need to pay upon departure.

also include daily breakfast, airport transfers both way and a half day city tour.

price is based on the current cheapest fare on tiger airways, departing sin on 02mar and returning on 05mar. this is just a targeted date. any other date, pls suggest and i will check.

If we go on 02mar, I may not have time to return to Singapore first and therefore, may have to fly in on my own. If so, what would the hotel cost be based on single occupancy (not used to sharing a room)? Also waiting to see if people are going to bring their girl-friends/wives etc. or if there will be a change in dates.

single room for 3 nights is approx at $240, inclusive of breakfast. Me too feel like having a room of my own. I smoke, so dont think its nice to share with any bro. :embrass:
