Just check on my 50mm f/1.4, it's confirm the new (rubber focusing ring type) but don't come with a hood, when I bought it :cry:

I thought it really come without hood as the seller claimed.

so u mean... all along u actually have an RS instead of an original? check your filter size, 55mm or 49?

should be, but when I bought, it didn't come with a hood, any cahnce on getting a compatible hood for it?

think of it this way, you've just suddenly had ur lens upgraded to RS version ;p

hood is not a big deal for this lens lah. check with alex see if he have lor. otherwise, i got a 55mm rubber hood that works on the lens, you want? or just buy lor, a few dollars only.
