My point of view re: 7D, If you like the camera, get it anyway.. I won't really looking into buying first batch of Sony DSLR, just for precaution. Nothing really worries me, but just in the safe side.
If you can live with just 1 DSLR, then keep using it.. if you need 2, then get 2.
I prefer 7D because of the weight and reliability (touch wood).
