Same here Bro. No more warranty so dare not try first. Anyone willing to be the pioneer?

As saying goes, "Dun fix unless broken"! :bsmilie:

Use at your own risk.

If you are serious into trying the program do read the entire thread in the DYXUM forum. There are warning there to consider. There are settings where you will not be able to set back to "old" value after changes are done. The only way to correct those settings are via additional hardware that works with the software.

wow, rather not be pioneer then. :bsmilie: lets wait for more info and then decide.

i think play this kind of thing... even got warranty also void already ;p

I tried the software program with both my 7D and 5D and it does work.

So far, with the 7D I only checked the current adjustment values with the program. It's all kinda coded, so don't know what they mean yet.

With the 5D, there are more useful info that can be obtained such as total shutter count, flash count and error codes. Especially the 0x00000058 which is the dreaded "black frame" problem. On my 5D there was only 1 instance of this error code. This code could be cleared so that one can monitor if it does happen again. I tried some of the software adjustment algorithm that doesn't require special tools. So far it went fine and no problems.

With the program, it is possible to perform some of the other calibration such as flash over/under by adjusting the pre-flash gain. Others such as AF sensor, AS, AE etc will require some targets & masks to be available - hopefully some clever people will figure how to DIY this.

Anybody wants to donate a condemned 7D or 5D for some experimentation? ;)

What?!!!
