the call to construct indoor sport halls was initiated by the ministry of education..... the 1st batch of 24 indoor sport halls were completed in 2008 and they soon became "dart boards" for a very good reason..... these monstrous concrete blocks were perceived as insensitive and ominous neighbours..... architects were accused of disregarding the surrounding context.... these architectural failures do offer students a much needed shelter to carry out their lessons in adverse weather conditions..... functionality presides aesthetics.....

Folks, its that time of the year again. The International Photography Awards(IPA) 2012 had just concluded and I got an email from them his morning. Gotten an honourable mention in the Architectural Pro (Buildings + Cityscapes) category for this set of photos I did on Marina Bay. Looking forward to entries in 2013.
