Kenya Trip 2011

wow, u able to revisit twice in 5 years. wish I am able to be there once during my life time... :). Great shots & thanks for sharing

yes i have to admit, i am fortunate :)
but don't have to be envious, my friend was there 4 times in 6yrs hahaha

counted wrongly shld be twice in 6yrs 2006/2011
Africa is always a magical place for us, so it made us go back for more
actually i was in South Africa for self-drive safari as well in 2009

Africa is not as expensive as one think, you will be surprised some asia nature tours cost a lot more than kenya
the reward is definitely worth every penny on a photographic point of view

actually besides mammals and landscapes, most people tends to neglect the avian opportunites there

here are some to show the diversities of photo oppotunities

Lovely pics. Wonderfully captured, thoughtfully framed. Thanks for sharing.

Wow! Great photos and excellent post-processing works!

I was in Masai Mara too on 30/8, 31/8 and 1/9.
I have posted some photos in this thread.
Admitedly, my photos are no where as good as yours.
It's just a way of sharing my excitement to know another local guy was there at about the same time!

BTW, did you get to see the wildebeest crossing the Mara River?
We missed the crossing scene as by the time we raced to the river, the crocodile had appeared and no more wildebeest dared to jump into the river anymore. We waited for an hour and the wildebeests seemed to retract further away from the bank.

Masai Mara is a fantastic place. =)

haha, our cars probably met :)
I was there with from 27/8 to 2/9
my friends just told me they shot the same scene of the lions devouring the wildebeest as you hahaha

as for the crossing, you went on the 31/8 i suppose. we were there actually, did manage to see witness the whole process
but we did not really had a good spot for photos so it was pure viewing enjoyment which was pretty awesome nevertheless.
not to be sad as my friend only saw it on his 4th trip so its an excuse to go back again

your serval cat was a good find, we missed that one
