but ff sensor will not work well with digital lenses, right?

nikon d3 is fullframe. but will automatically switch to crop mode when mounted with digital lens. same thing may work with new pentax... 2 camera for price of one

While the general statements were true when it was written, but a few bigs steps have been made and CMOS-based image sensors are quite mature. The bias problem has been more or less solved when Canon introduced D30 the 3MP SLR, and further improved with the 20D sensor and Sony's new batch of CMOS sensors.

Don't know where you heard about these, but I'd be glad to see the 135/1.8 surfaces again (for a reasonable price)

I am looking forward to a new version of that lens soon. Especially with reduced CA wide open
