just got my cam and started with some photo taking while going thru my activities... got intoduced to the APAD section so here it is:

went fishing the other day and decided to bring the cam along to see if i'm worth anything to my camera... LOL

and if u shot in raw... try to see if u can pull back some more details in the sky (a bit too glaring and white imho)

i understand wat u mean,... still trying to master the art of PP.

But, 1 thing i dun understand, it looks smooth on my screen, but when i see it thru my dad's laptop, it looks very rough.. think i must have done smthg wrong smwhere...

ur LCD should probably be much better then the laptop (normally that is)
or mebbe the laptop is not showing the pic in full (downsized) thus the jaggedness

welcome to APAD, nice one, love the star burst effect, gnd will help the blown highlight in the sky, though I don't have one as well:sweat:

I'm just lucky that this shot came out nicely... Hands very shaky so was actually quite concern about the clarity of the pic...

its a filter, i not sure about the spelling though, something like "gradual neutral density" filter.

its something like those old people specs where 1 half of the specs is for short sighted and other half is for long sighted etc...

not sure if you can imagine what i am trying to say... its a round filter with one half a bit darker so that you will not over expose the sky etc.

Some might find it a little dark though... but i think its just me... like high contrast/saturation, slightly darker photos... (also cos of my limited PP skills) ;p LOL
