One thing for sure... the 3D pop is much better on the Otus over the FE 55/1.8... :bsmilie:

Best 50s. Perfect in modern expectation. But u wun like it if u r into classic rendering.
From the DXomark findings, the sharpness of the 55FE is so close to the Otus, yet a lot smaller and portable.
Some were complaining of the size of the 55FE. But looking at the dxomark finding, the 55FE seems not that big now, and a super good buy at the current price.

ZoomZ thanks again for the checks Anyways back to taking pics - after a quick series of shots, this lens appears to my eye as sharp as a 50 lux (latest gen) and and older 50/1.5 Nokton that I used to use on my rangefinder.
What I like is that the images render in a similar way to the lux, the 55/1.8 is a little bit more clinical but still very nice. Can't wait for the 85/1.8!

The FE lens roadmap is online leh. I saw 85/1.8 as well as 135/2, 35/1.4 and 50/1.2 for 2015. Dunno true a not.
But would make sense as those are all popular focal lengths!
