Hmm.. looks like the impression of 5D2 AF speed is subjective as according to picturefreak, 5D2 AF is faster than 40D, and my impression is that 40D AF is not slower than 5D. Haha..

Haha, yea, i think a lot of these stuff is quite subjective....End of the day, as long as it works for you, itz good enough

I feel that off-center AF point of 5d is slow and sometimes missed to lock focus.....

You won't be surprised at the 5D2's off-center AF point's performance then... It's sama sama..

Yup.. subjective. It's possible that 40D AF = 5D and 5D2 is a fraction faster than 5D coz of the new DIGIC, but maybe it's just not noticeably faster. At least not in the time I've spent with it.

Seems that a problem does exist, but it varies in severity from camera to camera i think.

Mark II performance is truely marvellous. Now the big question for me...should I keep or sell by 5D to get this baby?
