Yeah man, 1200mm's length, except it's a constant 82mm diameter, has push pull zoom. :bsmilie:

Sure there will be upgrade ,due to the bokeh effect and low light condition on F2.8 plus IS.  :bsmilie:

Enjoy your lens. The greatest advantage of your lens lies in the fact is lightweight and offers excellent L quality.
I have the much heavier F2.8 Is version. Sometimes it is so heavy (after hours of use) I am now thinking of getting the F4 version. I do not really need the F2.8 all the time, i do day photography most of time. I think the extra weight is a pain on my neck. It is the "IS" that entices me get the F2.8 in the first place.

Now that there is a F4 (lightweight) and IS (hand shake reduction) version, it proves to be VERY tempting.

Yoke, get used to shoulder slinging. I never ever use a SLR with anything around my neck - it'd kill me if it accidentally slipped...

Yeap. If you need get a hand-strap. TCW has pretty good third-party offerings that come with the thing that attaches to your tripod threads. Hand strap will then be on the right (grip) side of the camera. The neck strap can then be mounted on the other side of the tripod thread attachment, so you use it as a shoulder strap.

Just take note that a handgrip restricts you to using only the right hand to use it properly. If not, the only other way is to use the handgrip like a handle on a carrier bag.

what is L equivalent in nikon?
