wah bro... u like cosplay alot ah? haha... anyway.... its refreshing.... i like.

Something refreshing. Not the usual portrait style. Feels like HK portrait style. Good work on yr PS :)

I kinda like it. ^^

So cute !

This is very "Alice in wonderland" ! Like it cos it seems naive and fresh.

Very well executed even if the colours are a bit exagerated.

Good imagination !

I have decided that I like it (the colours). Yes, on one hand, it looks quite cartoonish and on the other hand, like a dreamy fantasy land.

How did you post-process these? By bumping up the saturation?
hmmmm I increased the different colour component's saturation differently, so introducing a colour shift of the grass from normal dull green to the bright cheerful green that you see. Essentially that's colour wise. I believe I bumped up the blue green and red components in a ratio of 4:2:3, there abouts. depends on the grass really..

Then it's on to a gaussian blur layer with edge preserving mask.

:)

very fantasy like ...very suit the cosplay theme...just wonder how would the post process when apply on those normal model shoot would look like..
Actually it works quite well, depending on what you're shooting of course. Some example of what i did before at another shoot early this year.

I think the processing and concept have come together very nicely. I don't particular like the images on a personal level but the cohesion of vision is really very respectable, so well done. The colouration looks quite a bit like Studio Pierrot's productions(the studio that produces Bleach and Naruto), if that's what you're going for. The concept reminds me a bit of Rozen Maiden though, if you're familiar with the series.

I don't watch those anime either because I don't like the brightness, so it's not your photography, don't worry. I just tend to prefer darker colouring.
:) Thanks for your comments. heh heh actually er.. I wasn't really following any particular style, or wasn't really working towards any particular style. XD though I might have been indirectly influenced because I do watch quite abit of anime.

I have to say, that this is amazingly pink .... and green.

A little too bright. But i think you were looking for that high key but more glowing pictures that the japanese do.
Perhaps.. heh can you perhaps give an example of what you mean by the high key + more glowing pictures.. it might just be it. I did process the photos by feel, so it might be influenced by something I've seen before..

The pictures seem to be heavily processed... I like #1, but the two models super-imposed together spoilt the picture... The question mark and exclaimation mark in #10 looks weird... (not too obvious, not too prominent - neither here nor there feel) suggest to purposely make it very big and prominent...
Thanks.
actually, the only 4 steps were 1) colour shift/saturation increase 2) gaussian blur with mask 3) resize 4) sharpen slightly. hee the girls really had good complexion, don't need to edit at all. :bsmilie: I didn't even bother removing their eyebags.

do you mean they look imposed on each other, or imposed on the photo? It was actually something bugging me abit, because a few other takes the bokeh was even more creamy such that they look too isolated/pasted on.
Hee noted about #10. I guess I was too half hearted about putting it the !? marks on. Looking at it, I agree it feels neither here nor there. Thanks.

This is superb man....
#1 and #5 is lovely! Especially #5 looks like a very cute doll...
#5 so kawaiiiiiiiiii!!!
The girl is very cute herself. :)

I find it overly bright altho the series is a refreshing break.
Heh I was just trying something new, wasn't sure how people would take to it.. No sexy girl in bikinis here.. :bsmilie:

Great concept, very refreshing.

I would say it would be even better with models who have the correct "look" ie pixie faced ones.
hmmmmm :D heh i'm honoured to have you comment in my thread. I really love your photos. :) will hope for some pixie faced girls to dress in GL for me. no $$ to hire models.

wah bro... u like cosplay alot ah? haha... anyway.... its refreshing.... i like.
:bsmilie: long time no see.. heh this is considered cosplay only in Japan. The Singapore GL community is rather an*l about this not being cosplay but a fashion.
