[Just a rumor] Another Nikon FX camera for Photokina

Woah. Looks like the D4s will be the dSLR with the lowest resolution FX sensor.

looks like an end for the crop sensor...

It wasn't meant to be a resolution monster to begin with.

Yeah... But if the D750 is an "action" camera, which I assume means high fps, fast AF and high ISO capabilities, it's pretty much going against its own big brother.

High fps and fast af, but not high iso most prob (d4s/df are high iso by using fatter pixels). They can make the d750 a faster d610 by using the same 24mp sensor but a d810/d4s cpu and a larger buffer.

The qn now is. Olpf or not ?

Yeah. The presence of the optical pass filter or not would be an interesting question.

The high ISO prowess of the 36MP D810 is really quite impressive, so I think you can reasonably expect good high ISO performance from a "action" oriented 24 MP dSLR.

I was skeptical bout the lack of OLPF on the D810 (The D800E wasn't that impressive.) But the major diff is that the D810 had *no* glass for the no-OLPF, vs the D800E which still had some glass that negated the effect of the OLPF. End result - I get crazy 36MP sharpness.

AS for the high ISO power, yes the D810 definately has a huge boost in 'no-noise' ISO performance. (I get extremely usable ISO3200 without NR, vs around ISO2000 on D600) But if you're looking at high 'usable' ISO performance (ISO 51200,etc..), the D810 still lacks far behind the D4s/A7s. A trick I used to get clean high ISO is downsizing to 9MP from 36MP (or using the sRAW)

I'm confident the D750 (or whatever it will be), will have good ISO performance (Newer technology always helps) but i suspect it will be at best D810 level.

Not so, according to this: http://photographylife.com/is-nikon-d810-sharper-than-d800e

Hi UncleFai, what do you mean not so ?

I stated that I was skeptical bout the lack of AA will make a difference in quality (I was not impressed with the D800E), but learn that the no-OLPF (d810) vs OLPF-canceling (d800e) had some differences, and I'm getting sharper images on my D810. And I think the article does agree that the D810 is sharper (albeit at 5-10%) If anything, they should be testing with the Sigma 50mm art. (I'm using that combination and love it)

24MP full frame sensor
Tilting LCD screen
Wi-Fi support
Expeed 4 imaging processor
Very light body
Price in between Nikon D610 and Nikon Df
[Just a rumor]

No AF-On button ? *argh* They should call this D650.
Built in Wifi be nice (That does mean the body will be lighter too) I had issues with D600 with that tiny wifi dongle, no issues with the D5300 built in wifi.

My wish list is a shorter body :) Easier to put into my shoulder bag.

Btw, any guess on the type of storage ? CF ? XQD ? SD ? SD-UHSII ??

The price in between D610 and Df. I am nor surprised this D750 will adopt D610 design with additional tilting LCD.

Nice effort from Nikon which try to win the entry level Full Frame DSLR market !
