[jon.chiang] Urban Landscapes

Skyville Golden Dawn by Jon Chiang, on Flickr

Queenstown, Singapore

Sunrise from Skyville@Dawson a few days back. Singapore really changes at a breakneck pace; the buildings under construction on the left weren't there until recently. Glad to have captured such a glowy sunrise as well!

Macpherson Dusk by Jon Chiang, on Flickr

Circuit Road, Singapore

Found a nice vantage point from MacPherson Residency facing these iconic Circuit Road flats with the new Mondrian-inspired paint job. The intense fiery sunset and afterglow was icing on the cake!

Tanglin Halt Dawn by Jon Chiang, on Flickr

Queenstown, Singapore

Glad I dragged myself out of bed to shoot this scene because the sunrise turned out to be a fiery one - a rarity indeed considering that the monsoon season is here as well!

Overlooking Bendemeer by Jon Chiang, on Flickr

Spent New Year's Day shooting the now-defunct old Choa Chu Kang bus interchange, so the second sunset of the year shall suffice!

Boon Keng Burn by Jon Chiang, on Flickr

Boon Keng, Singapore

Time-blended this scene from a new and popular vantage point!

4 frames for sunset afterglow, another 4 frames for nighttime lights and mashed together in Photoshop with Nik Software.

Duxton Rainbow by Jon Chiang, on Flickr

Tanjong Pagar and Chinatown, Singapore

Yesterday's drama light at Pinnacle@Duxton. The downpour during sunset really made for the right kind of glowy conditions for a rainbow!

It really was one of the most dramatic shoots that I had, where rain, a brilliant sunset, a rainbow and finally lightning were observed from a single location; albeit from different directions.

Handheld panorama with Sigma 12-24mm Art.
