Should we try to get Olympus Singapore to set up a Camedia club? Hopefully we can generate more interest, share tips and experiences with various models, get special offers on accessories, etc...

I think the Olympus Marketing Manager is someone I once knew.

Perhaps we can approach him to suggest we form a club. Since we have this list already, I'm sure Olympus has a list from those who attended the Camedia course (I went last year).

They can add to this list and maybe we can suggest that they organise some gallery on their site where we can post our pics and they and members can comment and provide tips.

We can start by first having informal gathering to meet owners. Whatsmore, mass emailing is very effective in spreading news on new stuff and offers that they might have.

Also, under low light condition.....the shutter is pretty slow....any movement on ur part or the subject can cause a blurred pix.

yeah - it's on - i forced the ISO to 100 now and kept the AF on off so it doesn't AF as i move to get the target being shot - seems to work better. Swapped AF from spot to ESP as well.

Can i adjust shutter speed in any more other than M?
also, where in M do i adjust the damn thing....?

AS you can see, total newbie here (i graduated from a Canon Snappy LX point n shoot 35mm fixed lens camera...got fed up of having to develop lousy photos along with good ones hehehe)

Yes, u can adjust the shutter speed in 'S' (Shutter Priority) mode as well. In this mode, u select a shutter speed and the DC will set an appropriate aperture automatically. Note: If the shutter speed u set is too fast or too slow for the available aperature range, the DC will highlight to u.

In 'M' (manual) mode.....the aperture and shutter speed are adjusted using the 4 directional buttons on the back of the DC.

By the way, read the PDF manual on the CD-ROM....the manual in printed form is inadequate.

Anyway I'm from HWZ forums, and I know there're some HWZoners here too..

Just want to say I bought a Olympus C-2 Zoom, which, I know, is not listed in any of the Olympus website. And I also noticed no one has that model!

Also, I was reading some threads, and, uh... What's AP?

Yup, I guess the prices there are generally reasonable.
The other day I went there and got a 128 Smartmedia card for $85, although the guy originally quoted me $90. Heard some people managed to get one for $80 though.

Yeah I read about that... I think $85 is still pretty cheap cos I saw at HWZ price guides, 128MB SM is selling for about $120

ANyway I got a 64MB card free with my camera (in addition to two other 16MB cards), so I guess I wouldn't be buying any SM for now...
