It is a good DC that can take beautiful pictures. For most occasions it's more than adequate.

Just that the functions r rather limited as compared with the more expensive models that some of us here own.

Oh I see....

I just start to use DC, next time then upgrade.....

G'Day !

Got my 4040Z about 2 months ago with the P-010 u/W casing at AP.
Very happy with it so far.

i am trying to decide between the 2100UZ and the Fuji S602Z and will be going to HK later this month so need to find out pricing here so that i can compare :)

can someone please help? thanks!

newbie....

well, i succumbed (despite some heavy competition from the Fuji Finepix S602Z) and got the C2100UZ with 2 x 128mb SM, UV filter, Lenscap tether, carrying case and 2 sets of GP1800 NiMHs with the 1hr GP charger (couldn't find it at mustafa so hadda buy at homefix near my home :( )

10x Optical Zoom Is Tres cool....

got 3 stuck pixels though....
EVF works good.
Slight noise on the zoom/AF (presume this is normal? sounds like a sliding noise)

Bought at Alan Photo today (and the missus offered to offset half the cost due to birthday coming up hehehehe...)
Bloody hell, HK prices for digicams are not cheap - Finepix there selling at 200SGD more than here....

Jayan, from what i can see, i am your 80th member...? :)

welcome....hammerjammer

Our fraternity is definitely growing fast........:D

Fantastic! Our 80th member.........

Where're the stuck pixels? From the EVF or LCD or the CCD (you can see them in the pix)???

For EVF and LCD is ok as these will not affect picture quality...but for stuck pixels in CCD then it's of some concern.

Yes, when AF, zooming, or IS working...you'll hear some sounds.

:)

none in the EVF, 3 in the LCD.
i haven't transferred them into the PC yet so no idea about if it's on the CCD. i will do so tonight and let you know (not too distracting on the LCD so if the CCD is ok, i can live with it heh...)

I have to credit the various posts in this forum with a lot of help in convincing me to decide on the 2100UZ. :) putting all the stuff onto a spreadsheet for analysis really helped hehehe.....

my brother will benefit from this since his wedding is in October and i can get some experience with this camera first heh....

yep - no stuckies in the CCD.....
but i find the camera doesn't like the slightest bit of movement - the images get blurry, even with the auto-ISO and auto-AF modes on.

what general settings do you guys set to get your sharp crisp images....?
(e.g. AF - iESP vs SPOT?)

Erm...is ur Image Stabilizer on????

Also, under low light condition.....the shutter is pretty slow....any movement on ur part or the subject can cause a blurred pix.
