good to know.

I agree that it's a good learning tool, very user friendly too. Can't imagine the learning curve of having to use a different digicam in future. So let's hope thhat there is a good roadmap follow on to the E-10 and 20, knowing that they now have something new to show at Photokina. Cheerio!!!

Well, Strength_n_Honour, sorry about your erm "misfortune". But i enjoyed the C2040Z alot with its full manual control, though still trying to find my way around.. No thanks to the skinny Oly documentation. So paiseh now the whole world knows what i did under the table...:embrass:

Thanks for the deal :) By the way, the cam guzzled my GP1600 batts in no time when i only took like 15 pics.. Go figure.... Looks like i need to buy more batts and a Rayovac charger or something similar.

Gotta ask though: how you 2040Z gurus actually learn how to make use of the cam fully? Through experimenting or got some site online to help? Got any tips for a newbie? How many batts will last a whole day?

Thanks:D

Sorry forgot to ask too: is there any firmware upgrade or similar for the C2040Z cam? Cos i saw a thread about frimware upgrade for this C700UZ.. Also is the Camedia software useful at all? it appears to have some use haha i dunno......

We are almost at the end of the summer , we had 2 weeks cloudy weather with some rain , but we are back to normal right now ,like dry weather with very normal temps . :)

Hmm...Autumn...how I wish Sg can have 4 seasons instead of 2 -> hot & dry and hot & wet!!!!

If there's nothing wrong with the DC, you don't need the upgrade.

By the way, if u r thinking that ur manual is too flimsy...that's becos there should be a full version in saoftware form in one of the CD-ROM.

Most of the time u need only the Camedia Master software to transfer the files from ur DC to the PC.

For most of us, post-editing is done using software like PhotoShop.

The software no use one.. I never touch it before =p

No more P' Mode for me , A" and M" for the hard to get ones , or P" just for the easy ones ;)

No wonder.... strength_n_honour couldnt find his cd... Can any Oly 2040 owner email me the e-manual or something? Cant seem to find it online too....

I check their USA website and managed to find the manual for C2100 but it is stated that full manual for in-production models are not available.

C2040 only have the QSG.

Yeah checked out the other Olympus regional sites too.. They all don't seem to carry the 2040 pdf manual.. Even though i could find those for the 2000 and 2020 cameras....

Perhaps any of you experts out there have a copy to mail me or perhaps webpages that give good tips or similar?

Thanks again...

sorry I cannot help you. Mine is the C2100UZI..........:embrass:

Hi have tried your source but they only provide the electronic form of the paperback versions of the manuals which i have. The elusive "all-in-one" manual has not been seen. Nevertheless your help is appreciated.. Thanks!
If you read Chinese, and have the Chinese manual, it is usually a full manual (missing from the CD). At least it is for my C720UZ :D

You just need to acustom yourself to the technical terms in Chinese :D

Jayan,

Guess can add me into your list coz I just bought the Olympus C3020.. :)

Now need to look for the CLA-1, 43-46mm ring, 46mm filter and a lens cap.. :D

No wonder the chinese manual i have is so thick....
Hmm guess i'll try taking a stab at it. Though english would be nice haha

Thanks for pointing it out!

Heheh, yeah. Before I realized there was a full manual on the CD, I was very much relying on the Chinese manual. Its more convenient than to read/print from the CD anyway :D

One added advantage of knowing the Chinese language.. :P

Hmm yeah maybe.. At least after reading it maybe i'll know my camera terms in chinese as well.. The agony.....

It's ok, I've gotten my stuff liao.. Anyway, the items u're selling won't suit the C3020 as well, as it will have the same 'unsuitabilities' as with your C4000.. :)
