(which also mentioned it on their site, which i hesitate to link here because it crashes my firefox everytime)

it is written by jj lin himself.:sweat:

Written by him, yea.
But, is the music arrangement by him as well? =)

It's two separate thing on written and arranging. But still, the producer or EP should... sigh.. Im speechless for this song big time. LOL

someone has spoofed the song......

oh, you mean like how jay zhou writes his music and vincent fang writes the lyrics?

ok, get what you mean.

I thot this song is easily sing-along kind...suitable for youngster...Though I definitely disagree with the "Adugen" kinda chessy dance:bsmilie:

What you meant is written.

Written is purely composing of music and a lyricist.

For instance, I wrote a song as demo.
Music Publisher like it and label Producer wanna this song.

take demo song to music arranger.

Music Arranger job is to beautiful the full song with more elements add like drum, guitar etc... if there's a need to record real guitar or drum, producer will sound out.

Demo music can be full length or short.

It is like, photographer shoot already.
Ad agency post process the pic nicely.

So, in short, music arranger and composer/lyricist cannot be link together unless it is under your own production as whole lor.

i see, i get it now.

thanks for the explanation, much appreciated.

why dun they just ask someone who sings well like Olivia Ong

this is like last yr national anthem by our so call singapore idol... disaster man :bsmilie:

Wonder who is the one that endorse this song. Nobody will be able to tell what is the purpose of this song. The lyric has nothing related to sport, youth, YOG, friendship, etc.

It is like when asked to shoot wedding you go to shoot people going in and out of toilet.

Hey hey hey yo.....

never be a fan of his, dunno why he is so popular... so i never bother to watch it... im glad i didn't...

His other songs are ok.. don't like it when he goes overly hip-hop... like in this one.

well, i spoke what i thought and people weren't happy though.....

Hmmm...

I must say I am not that great myself in photography.

As for JJ, his pictures on the M9 are ok lor...... fact is everyone starts somewhere before they get good, am not against JJ & his pictures but the thing I REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND is there are loads of people going gaga over them like it was some masterpieces from the renaissance period which is something I dont understand?!?!?!?! :dunno:

Is it because its an M9? Or are they just carrying balls?

A few Korean band had sing for this year World Cup to support their team and some of them is good. Here is one of them.

I agree with Josho, the first time i saw and heard it on TV, i was asking myself what kind of song is that for the lst Youth Olympic, i felt like switching channel already, but i finished the video anyway because i like JJ Lin...... I think its the song selection, I believe the producers have their reasons, out of many choices, before selecting this feature for the Youth Olympics.

Anyway, GOOD WISHES FOR OUR FELLOW YOUTH OLYMPIC PARTICIPANTS, ALL THE BEST!

Now, i am all mixed up. I thought they have the Idols YOG Theme song :dunno:

Idols for YOG song
THREE of the five singers chosen to perform the theme song of the 2010 Youth Olympic Games hail from the Pop Idol global franchise.
They are Jody Williams, the fourth champion of the Idol contest in South Africa where it is called Idols; Jessica Mauboy, runner-up of the fourth Australian Idol; and the most recent Singapore Idol's third-placed finalist Tabitha Nauser.
Together with American hip-hop artist Sean Kingston and British singer-songwriter Steve Appleton, they will sing Everyone, which was written and is being produced by Singapore Idol judge Ken Lim.
At the press conference to unveil the singers for the YOG theme song, Lim said: 'The Idol branding gels with the audience. In picking the five singers - they have to connect with the youth and appeal to everyone. I think these five individuals blend well together in terms of vocal quality and image.'
Lim, who is also head of Hype Records, chose the singers for the different genres they bring to the table. He said: 'I chose Sean for his R&B and reggae sound and also because he is very popular in the huge American market.' Appleton was picked because his sound reflects the pop-rock music of bands such as Snow Patrol and Coldplay. Mauboy and Williams are 'power singers', says Lim.
The singers represent five of the world's six continents: the Americas, Asia, Africa, Europe and Oceania.Nauser, the Asian representative, was chosen instead of the winner and runner-up of Singapore Idol 3, Sezairi Sezali and Sylvia Ratonel respectively, because Lim wanted 'a girl to harmonise with the rest of the singers'.

It seems the JJ song is a national song (ie. not for overseas audience) designed to 'drum up' and 'inspire' us locals for the YOG.
But its totally crap! :thumbsd:
I'd rather they just played a Beethoven and choreographed in scenes from youth sports.

i'm tempted to take the youtube video and edit it a step further. especially for naruto fans ~~
