Jinbei Discovery 600 First Hands On + Battery Pack Shoot Out

i am using jinbei discovery 600, i didn't see any color shift so far..

When I was in Bangkok a while ago, I compared one of my Elinchrom Quadra's to my friends Discovery 600...I did not see any significant differences as well (color wise) ..I consider the Jinbei an excellent system for the money...

That is good news George. My info is at least more than 10 years old. Literally speaking when its affordability, quality of light, quality of build, reliability you can have 2 but not all 4. Even the worse piece of gear is still better than no gear at all. This looks sexy, but the lure of the quantum clones and the lighter inverter power packs make it not the only choice.

Yeah I also like the Godox and Jinbei Quantum clones, but I have way to many battery powered light systems at the moment... (2 elinchroms sets...2 Lite Trek/Fokon sets.. and 2 Godox 820 pwr packs for my several SB28/25/20 speedlights)...I have been looking at the Jibei Caler MF100 version because it apears to be the cheapest...;)

I think now, my most used system is my pair of Fokon/Lite Trek DX400 (both by Cononmark I believe)...I can get 2 of them in a medium bag as a carry on along with a couple of ministands and some umbrella's on the plane..I bought one(Fokon) in Bangkok at Fotofile in the MBK mall, and I bought the second (Lite Trek) from BHphoto in New York...I keep the Elinchroms because I have the ring flash for them and they have a proven reliability over the years, but I suspect the Chinese systems will become just as reliable as well over time....
