pathethic Singapore police.

Dont bother helping in the search unless ur super free with nothing better to do.

All this post-actions are just to save Police's face..

For now, lets wait and see who in the government will be implicated in the investigation, and of course,it might even involve a certain political party.

And you are one of the most responsible Singaporeans I've ever met.

Is whoever's gonna be implicated all you care about? If and when JI do hit back, it is not just the Police Force, or any political party that suffers. It is our nation. Yours. Mine. Our Singapore.

It is citizens like you that give Singapore a bad face. So immature and naïve.

On the other hand, more people die in Singapore from irresponsible driving or bo chap attitudes about work/household safety than from terrorist attacks. Even if you think about terror attacks, you could do your part in making them more difficult by e.g. not leaving shopping bags lying around in crowded areas like hawker centres/food courts to "chope seats" (easy way to hide a bomb inflicting maximum carnage).

This is something where civic-minded Singaporeans can make a much greater difference compared to participating in a once in a blue moon manhunt. Where is this sense of civic responsibility and nation building when it doesn't involve glamorous, sensational incidents, but little everyday acts?

actually civic-minded singaporeans would do both

but whatever.

Apparently, I heard that he may be across the causeway... and our Malaysian friends have been giving a showing a big message at the Malaysian side of the causeway saying " Selamat Datang Ke Malaysia".

This, however, has also lead to conflicting reports of his whereabouts, as there are also other clues all across the island, for example " Selamat Datang Ke Changi Airport", Selamat Datang Ke Taman Haiwan Singapura" , Selamat Datang Ke Mustapa" etc...

The authorities are still on the man-hunt....

What an amazing comment for all to see your character. It makes me wonder what you will say if one of your family is injured or killed in a terrorist attack launched by this man. :dunno:

Isn't promotional marketing a great line of work or what! How fast they fall in to milk this one.

it is almost a week by now...

next time spend some money on GPS tracking devices, implant some transmitter chips into his body, in this way his movement is tracked 24/7 365 days.

The Police release pictures of Mas Selamat's attire today..
But I wonder.. why now then release.. its almost a week. i suppose he must have changed into something else right?
They wants public to help, but apparently they seems very reluctant and slow to release informations..

Are you quite done with your 105197 next times? You've said "next time", along with your GPS tracking, and other stuff you see in the movies countless times in this thread already.

Get real. This is a real threat. This is a real, and dangerous escape situation. There won't be a next time unless he's caught.

i think any authority in the world would not want the help of the public unless they are very desperate

as for limited information - they have to firstly ensure that it is accurate, and next that it does not do detrimental damage

theoretically, singapore is looking for him, but you can be sure that there are other people looking for him too.. looking to save him and spirit him away. :dunno:

whats done is done
there can only be a next time
it is not even a threat yet, its an escape.
nothing we can do now
his long gone

Don't understand this...

Someone would become a threat if he/she would take concrete steps to cause harm. Someone who's just trying to escape may have no intention to do any harm, and thus may not be a threat (except a career threat to those who let him/her slip).

Also, I'm wondering if Mr. bin Kastari ever was a concrete threat, or if someone just was afraid he might eventually become one. If he took concrete steps towards terrorist activities, wouldn't there be enough evidence for judicial proceedings (i.e. a criminal case) rather than having to detain him under ISA?

Don't understand this...
escape is when someone sneaks/breaks out of the jail/detention centre
a threat is when someone says they will do the something but most likely will back away
like if i said to you "i will steal your camera" aha for example that is a threat
whether i do it or not is unsure
but in this case i wont.
the escapee hasnt made any threats to the public yet
