Jammed Hexanon Glass?

Hi, I hope this is the right forum to post this.

I dug up my dad's old Autoreflex TC, with a Hexanon AR 40mm/f1.8 lens attached. The problem is, the lens' focusing ring cannot make it's full movement. It's able to rotate from 0.45m till around 3ft, after which the ring jams and cannot turn any further.

Has anyone experienced anything of this sort, and can give me any advice on what's going on?

U could take it The Camera Workshop in Peninsula Shopping Centre first floor. I think they can do a free diagnosis and then they would probably be able to repair it if it is damaged.

TCW told me the camera is gone case. The guy (a young one) told me there were no more parts for the camera.

Besides:
1) Lens is fogged; rear element in very bad condition
2) Pentaprism dirty
3) Shutter speed on 'B' gives some problems
4) Lens focus ring is jammed

Sigh.

did u try the photography shops at the adelphi, like P&G? try ask for a second opinion

The old man at TCW told me reparations are possible. Ditto P&G but the total cost will be about $300. Shutter will be repaired and recalibrated. I will get a new lens. Don't think it's worth it.
